What is the difference between an electric wheelchair and a scooter?
Electric wheelchairs are power wheelchairs that allow for better turning radius and easier access within the home. They can be used within the home and out.
Scooters are 3 or 4 wheel- powered vehicles that have handle bars and are best used outside of the residence, due to their larger turning radius’s and length.

How steep of a hill will the electric wheelchairs climb?
Most chairs are designed for a 5% grade only per ADA regulations, however, they can handle steeper grades for short distances.

How steep can I place my ramp for me to walk my chair up on?
Typically a six foot ramp is long enough for loading and unloading from a van or truck.

I weigh over 400 pounds, do you have a chair that will fit me?
Yes we do have a chair for someone over 400 pounds.

How will my chair do on dirt and uneven gravel?
All of the chairs our designed for a variety of surfaces both indoors and out, however, some are better for out side usage such as all of the Merit chairs as they have rear wheel drive and are more suitable for outside. There is no need for anti-tipping devices which provide a smoother and less dangerous ride.

Are batteries included in the price?
YES. Your electric wheelchair will arrive with 2 sealed maintenance free batteries. These batteries are FAA/airline approved and can be used on all forms of public transportation.

Will the chair breakdown and fit in the trunk of my car?
Based on your needs, we do have chairs that will break down for easy transport. However, our lightest piece will weigh 28-32 pounds which might be difficult for you to do this your self. If you plan on transporting the chair a lot, than we would recommend you get a lift for your vehicle to make your access easier on you and your family.
